A wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern looks calmer and makes cleaning easier, as the floor underneath is clear. The cistern sits in a stud wall, with a flush plate that matches the rest of the room. Such a wall is also a nice place for a niche or shelf.

A toilet without a window needs good extraction. During the renovation we check whether the existing ventilation is sufficient or whether a new fan is needed, preferably linked to the lighting or with an overrun timer.

If a bathroom or a larger renovation is also planned, it is smart to include the toilet. Pipes and drainage are open anyway, and the tiling can be done in the same style.

Do you also do just a toilet?

Yes, we also renovate just a toilet, from strip-out to finishing. Many people combine it with the bathroom, but that is not necessary.

Can a floor-standing toilet be replaced with a wall-hung one?

In most cases, yes. A stud wall with a concealed cistern is added. Whether the drain needs adjusting, we check in advance.

How long does a toilet renovation take?

A toilet is a manageable job. You get a schedule in advance, so you know how long the toilet will be out of use.

Do you also handle the electrics and ventilation?

Yes. Lighting, a socket where needed and an extractor fan are part of the renovation and we do them ourselves.
