renovating in Velp
living in Velp
Velp has a different character from the city next door. Around the old centre and towards the Veluwezoom there are many spacious pre-war homes and villas, often with high ceilings, bay windows, original staircases and ornaments. There are also neighbourhoods with terraced and semi-detached houses from later decades.
renovating an old house without losing its character
In a villa or pre-war home the temptation is great to make everything sleek and new. It is often more beautiful to keep what is good and build a modern kitchen, bathroom and services around it. We restore panel doors, mouldings and staircases, and make new carpentry connect calmly to them.
At the same time, behind the walls of an old house there is often outdated wiring and pipework. During a renovation we replace it in one go, before the finishing begins.
short lines from Arnhem
Velp is a few kilometres from our base on Boulevard Heuvelink. That way we are quickly on site for an introduction and Wietse stays easy to reach during the renovation.
