At Freiwerk, finishing is everything that truly completes a renovation: skirting and mouldings, boxing in pipes and frames, sealing, floors, thresholds, door hardware and the small connections between old and new. We do it in the same schedule as the rest of the renovation, so no loose ends are left.

A renovation can be technically perfect and still not feel finished. A skirting board that does not quite meet, a sealant joint that wobbles, a threshold that rattles. Those are the things you see every day.

That is why finishing is not an afterthought for us, but a craft of its own. It is the last thing we do, and the first thing you see.

In a renovation, old and new parts come together. A new floor next to an old staircase, a plastered wall next to original mouldings. The finishing decides whether that feels like one whole. So we look not only at the new work, but also at how it transitions into what was already there.

At the end we walk through the house together, point by point. Whatever is not right yet, we put right. Only then do we call it finished.

Do you also do just the finishing of a renovation?

We prefer to do the finishing as part of our own renovation, because then we know what is underneath. Feel free to get in touch to discuss what you need.

Do you also lay floors?

Yes, floors and the transitions between rooms are part of the fit-out. We advise on the type of floor that suits your home and how you use it.

What happens at handover?

We walk through the house together and go over everything. We complete any outstanding points. After that we stay available for questions.
