About Freiwerk
Freiwerk is Wietse and a regular crew of craftspeople in Arnhem. We build as if we were moving in ourselves.
Freiwerk started as a carpentry business in Arnhem. Clients increasingly asked for more: the whole renovation, in one hand. That is what we do now.
What started with carpentry and smaller renovations kept growing. Clients asked us not only to do the carpentry, but also to think along about the rest of their renovation. From strip-out and shell work to services, finishing and bespoke work.
That is how Freiwerk as it is today came about: a renovation company with 10 years of experience that can guide and carry out the complete project. We love existing buildings, smart solutions and projects where we can really change something.
We keep it simple: we listen to your ideas, make a plan and carry it out well. You know what happens, when it happens and what it costs. That is how a renovation should be.
From first idea to handover.
Not just carrying out what is on paper.
Carpentry, shell work, services, finishing and bespoke work.
For each part we bring in the right specialist.
Short lines and direct contact with the people realising the project.
We look beyond a single job and think along about the home as a whole.
A period property calls for respect for what is already there: panel doors, mouldings, a staircase with character. A new extension calls for clean lines. We can do both, and we know when each fits.

“Wietse heeft onze hele verbouwing gedaan en we zijn echt superblij met hem. Hij schakelt snel, denkt mee, is creatief en komt met slimme oplossingen. En niet onbelangrijk: hij heeft smaak. Je merkt dat hij niet voor de snelste weg kiest maar voor het mooiste resultaat. Ik zou Wietse echt zonder enige twijfel aan iedereen aanbevelen.”
