complete renovation in Arnhem.

Top to bottom, in one hand. We take on the whole renovation and arrange everything that comes with it.

in short

With a complete renovation, Freiwerk tackles your home in one go: strip-out and structure, electrics and pipework, plastering, tiling and painting, and bespoke joinery. You have one point of contact and one schedule, and you know up front what happens, when, and what it costs. We work in Arnhem and the immediate area.

how we approach it

A house that is being overhauled from top to bottom needs just one thing: someone who keeps the overview. That is us. We look at the property, listen to what you want and make a plan that works, structurally and practically.

Then we carry it out with a regular crew of craftspeople. No separate contractors waiting on each other, but one schedule in which every step connects to the last.

what a complete renovation covers

A complete renovation is more than a new kitchen and a lick of paint. It usually combines:

  • stripping out down to the structure
  • removing or moving walls, with steel beams where needed
  • new electrics, pipework, heating and ventilation
  • plastering, tiling, floors and painting
  • bespoke joinery: cabinets, stairs, doors and mouldings
why doing it in one go works better

why doing it in one go works better

Renovating in separate pieces often means opening things up twice. The bathroom has just been finished and then a pipe still has to go through the floor. With a complete renovation we first install everything that will later be hidden, and then finish everything in one go. That saves time, money and frustration.

period property or newer home

A townhouse or 1930s home calls for respect for what is already there: panel doors, mouldings, stained glass, a staircase with character. A home from the 1970s or 1980s often needs a new layout and more light instead. We can do both, and we know when classic details fit and when clean lines do.

how we approach it

We work in six steps: getting acquainted, inspection, plan and quote, preparation, building and handover. At every step you know where we stand. Wietse, the owner, is personally involved from the first conversation to handover.

frequently asked questions

Can I stay in my home during a complete renovation?

That depends on the scope. For a whole-house renovation, staying elsewhere temporarily is usually more comfortable and faster. If it concerns part of the house, we can work in phases. We discuss this in the first conversation.

How long does a complete renovation take?

That differs per property and per plan. After the introduction and design you get a schedule, so you know in advance when each phase will be finished.

Do you work with an architect?

If you already have an architect or interior designer, we simply work with them. If not, we work out the layout and details with you ourselves.

What does a complete renovation cost?

That depends on the condition of the property, the scope and the materials. You get a quote that covers everything, so you know the cost in advance and nothing gets added along the way.
