Freiwerk handles the tiling in your renovation: wall and floor tiles in bathroom, toilet, kitchen and hallway. Under the tiles we make the substrate flat and waterproof where needed. Because we also do the pipework and electrics, taps, drains and boxes sit exactly where the tile pattern requires.

Good tiling does not start with the tile, but with the substrate. A flat wall, a floor with the right fall and a waterproof layer in the wet zone. Only then comes the tile.

And then the details: where does the pattern start, how does the joint run through, where does the niche go. You decide that in advance, not on the day itself.

the substrate first

In the wet zone of a bathroom or shower a waterproof layer goes under the tiles, with sealing at the seams and around penetrations. On the floor we create a fall towards the drain. It is work you do not see, but it decides whether your bathroom is still dry years later.

Large tiles, small tiles, a herringbone pattern or a joint that runs from wall to floor: every pattern needs preparation. We set out in advance where the tiles fall, so taps, niches and drains sit in a logical place in the pattern.

Do you also supply the tiles?

We advise on tiles and can arrange them for you. If you have already chosen tiles yourself, we work with those just as well.

Can large tiles go on any wall?

Large tiles need a flat substrate. We sort that out first. We advise whether the format suits the room and the wall.

Do you also do just tiling?

We do tiling as part of a bathroom, toilet or renovation, so substrate, pipework and tiles connect.
